Eric Athenot is a professor of American literature in the Language, Literature, and Humanities Department as well as a member of IMAGER, where he leads the Text, Images and Sounds (TIES) research group. Athenot’s work focuses essentially on American poetry, more specifically on Robert Lowell, the topic of his doctoral thesis, and Walt Whitman. He is particularly interested in writing about the self and in the performative strategies adopted by modern poetry.

Maëlle Flot graduated from CELSA (School of Information and communication advanced studies) of Paris 4 Sorbonne and Trinity College (Dublin) in history and international relations. Before joining UPEC, Maëlle Flot was chief editor of, an information website for higher education professionals that she created in 2008 at l’Etudiant (Express Roularta Group). She has worked with organizations such as AUF (Francophone university association), EUA (European university association) and the European commission in Brussels.
