Victor Manuel Marí Sáez
Victor Manuel Marí Sáez was born in Madrid in 1970. He holds a BS in Information Sciences with a major in Audiovisual Communication from University Complutense in Madrid (1993), and an MS (2005) and a PhD (2009) in Communication Sciences from the University of Seville. He has been an Assistant Professor in Audiovisual Communication and Advertising at the University of Cadiz since 2005.

Dr. Marí is a coordinator of the "Communication and Digital Citizenship" research group and editor of Journal Commons. As an expert in educational communciation, he has worked as a communications consultant for various social Spanish organizations (Hegoa, Paz y Tercer Mundo, EMA-rtv). Between 1995 and 1998 he worked actively for the ECOE (Team for Educational Communication, Madrid), a pioneer in Spain in the field of popular communication and citizenship.

He is one of the few Spanish researchers included in the anthology "Communication for Social Change: Historical and Contemporary Readings", published in 2006 by the prestigious American Foundation "Communication for Social Change Consortium".

He has published over 30 articles on communication, development and education in international journals.
